The short version. This website sets no cookies, runs no tracking scripts, and loads nothing from any other company. If you do not fill in the contact form, we collect nothing that identifies you.
If you do fill it in, your details go to our team by email so that we can reply. We do not sell them, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking you first.
The responsible party for this website, in the sense POPIA uses that term, is SW Next Gen SA (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2023/100993/07, of 3A Hoop St, Paarl, 7646, South Africa.
You can reach us about anything on this page at francois@visiblora.com.
Nothing that identifies you. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tag manager, and no fonts, scripts or images loaded from another company. This website keeps no access logs of its own. We cannot tell you apart from any other reader, and we do not try to.
We collect exactly the fields you fill in:
All six are required, because with fewer we cannot give you a useful answer. Filling in the form is entirely voluntary, and nothing on this site is withheld from you if you skip it. If you would rather not use it, email us directly and send only what you choose to send.
Your message is not stored in a database. It is turned into an email, sent to our team, and after that it lives in our mailboxes like any other email you might have sent us.
Submitting the form makes a request to our servers, and that request carries your IP address. We use it in two places, both of them to stop the form being abused to send spam:
| What | Why | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|
| A counter keyed to your IP address | To limit how many messages one sender can submit in a short time | Stops counting after about 20 minutes. It is then deleted automatically, typically within a few days |
| A server access log entry that includes your IP address | Security and fault diagnosis | 30 days, then deleted automatically |
Our own application logs record a short fingerprint derived from your email address rather than the address itself, so a log line can be matched back to one submission without writing your address into a log file. This is not a strong form of anonymisation: because an email address is easy to guess, anyone who already holds the fingerprint and a list of candidate addresses could work out which address it came from.
You asked us to get in touch, and we use your details to do exactly that. Under POPIA this is processing needed to carry out a request you made. Under the GDPR it is our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry that a person deliberately sent us. Either way, if you tell us to stop, we stop.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Two suppliers necessarily handle it, because without them the form cannot work at all:
Both act on our instructions, and neither uses your information for its own purposes.
The technical records are on the timers in the table above, and delete themselves.
Your message stays in our mailboxes for as long as the conversation is useful. If we do not end up working together, ask us and we will delete it. If we do work together, it becomes part of the customer record covered by our agreement with you.
You can ask us to:
Email francois@visiblora.com and we will act on it. We will not charge you for it and we will not make it difficult.
If you think we have handled your information badly and we have not put it right, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
There are none. Our cookie notice says the same at slightly more length. If that ever changes, both pages will say exactly what changed and how to refuse it, before it changes.
This is a business service. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything about them.
If we change it, we will change the date at the top. If a change actually affects what we do with your information, rather than only tidying the wording, we will say so plainly here rather than hope you re-read the page.
